Update to DUNE 2.8

This MR is based on !74 (merged) and contains backwards-incompatible changes to support DUNE v2.8.

We should discuss if we want to guard these changes to still support v2.7, or if we want to drop 2.7 and only support 2.8 (in a future release?).
